Getting ready to get that bike out of the garage? Get out your bike helmet as well.

Bicycle helmets have been shown to reduce the risk of head injury in an accident by 85% and brain injury by 90%.
It's the LAW in Montgomery County for everyone 17 years old or younger to wear a helmet while riding, or being carried on, a bicycle.
Helmets should be SNELL or ANSI approved. Look for this label on the box or inside the helmet.
Always fasten the chin strap. A helmet should not slide around on your head. When worn properly the helmet should come halfway down on your forehead.
