GWGVFD Member Crowned Miss Fire Prevention

(Gaithersburg) -- The Montgomery County Fire Rescue Association's Miss Fire Prevention crown now rests on the head of 15 year old Courtney McHenry of Quail Valley.

Named to the position at the Association's Fall meeting, Courtney says she wants to reach out to children in the community to help them be fire-safe and injury-free.

Courtney is a 9^th grade student at Gaithersburg High School and a member of the Gaithersburg - Washington Grove Volunteer Fire Department's Junior Fire Brigade. She is the daughter of GWGVFD Fire Chief Bob McHenry and Master EMS Provider Carolann McHenry.
